Paraffin emulsions are high performance materials and actively used, primarily in wood industry, but also in concrete, plaster fiberglass/rockwool and paper industries. It has excellent properties such as being liquid at room temperature, having low viscosity, repelling water with its paraffin nature, having possibility of different emulsion systems as anionic, cationic or nonionic and being inflammable.

Paraffin emulsions are mixtures of paraffin and water in presence of emulsifying agent and other end use oriented additives. Emulsions may have either Anionic, Cationic or Nonionic characters.
